About Rí-Rá

Rí-Rá are a group of teenagers from Co. Carlow, Ireland, who are the pick of traditional musicians, singers and dancers within the county. The group was formed in February 2007 and have built up an impressive resumé in the year since (see our activities to date). They are coached by local musicians Ciaran Somers and Dave Sheridan and they hope to add new members every year. We are happy to welcome five debutants this year and have many plans to expand our horizons this year, the highlight of which will be a liason with a similar group in Gannat, France, as well as trips to other groups all over Ireland. The group will open the Carlow Fleadh in Leighlinbridge this April.
